Recently I've been thinking of Enya singing "How Can I Keep from Singing?" I think it's because of the Paris terrorist attacks. I listened to it right after I heard the news, and have been singing it ever since. For me it's always been a song of comfort and hope. It begins with these soft words:
My life goes on in endless song
Above earth's lamentations,
It's on the 55-minute playlist I assembled for painting the oil pastel paintings on this website -- songs for taking heart -- songs of courage and hope and love.
Since love is lord of heaven and earth
How can I keep from singing?
I think of painting hearts the same way.
"Since love is lord of heaven and earth, How can I keep from painting?
Note that when you use a link to Amazon.com from this site, Amazon will give me a tiny amount of money. This goes to a charity of MY choice. (It's the church to which I belong: Grace-Calvary Episcopal Church in Clarkesville, GA. Some of the money eventually goes, I'm sure, to the Episcopal Relief and Development fund for help to people all over the world.
If you'd rather it went to a charity of YOUR choice, just choose an Amazon smile charity and use that to search for the charity's name. It only adds a few seconds, and only when you set it up. After that, as long as you use the Amazon Smile link, you'll be contributing to charity every time you shop at Amazon.
