This heart painting was inspired by a personal memory of falling in love.
I’m sitting in my living room in Hyde Park, Chicago, age 23, entertaining two guests before we go sailing. I can’t wait to play the song, “Changes,” to one of the guests — the friend with whom I am falling in love.
This lovely duet sung by Jim and Jean begins with the words “Sit by my side, come as close as the air.” What an invitation to intimacy!
